*conartist18 has retired from the position of Duels Captain for personal reasons and I have been selected to take his place. All notes concerning duel entry submissions, duel extensions and such are sent to me. While the entries may not show up in the Current Duels journal right away, know that the judging Taichou are made aware of your entries.

Well, I suppose it's time to update this thing. I'm now living in Australia with ~dire-musaera. We've been getting the house set up. We also got married on the 24th of August. Not really all that different from before. Currently looking for a job. Hopefully I get hired before Christmas. I should though, given the number of resumes I've submitted.

Some people may have noticed that *dire-musaera and I are an item. We've been engaged since June of 2006 and have been working on getting a visa done ever since then for me to be able to move over to Australia so I can be with her. By week's end, I should be sending off the last bits of the visa to my case worker. It's kind of frightening to leave all I know behind and go somewhere new, but I can do it to be with her.

In artistic news, I've been drawing a lot since my last duel. It's just all been done on paper. Why don't I just scan it in you ask? Because my computer went kaput last year, forcing me to get a new one. This new one runs on Windows Vista, and Vista disliked the scanner I had for so many years. Upon trying to find a driver for the scanner to agree with Vista, I discovered that the company that made the scanner listed it as "end of life," meaning that they no longer made drivers for that particular model. So... hopefully I'll have a scanner once I get to Australia so I can submit more stuff.

I got my own place to move into because my roommate is moving in with his father to help him avoid foreclosure.

It's a garage apartment... not very big but it'll do for just me.
